What's New?
We have done a vast amount of paperwork and preparation for the new CQC registration, and it
has been on going since before Christmas, due to delays at the CQC.
Both registrations are now complete, and we have just received our second £800 bill.
Our yearly cost will be £1600 just to be registered with the CQC !!!
We will, as a necessity, be conducting new audits, questionnaires, and surveys in the future. Please
use these to give as much feedback as you can about how you feel we are doing. The whole
'experience' of visiting our Practice is what the CQC need to measure, and we will try to use
various ways of collecting data which are not too repetitive. Obviously, if we become aware of
ways to improve, we will be acting on them.

cup,mouthwash tablet, suction tube, mask, 3in1 tip (blows air and water), needles,
anaesthetic cartridges, polishing brushes, and root filling drill bits.

much clinical waste there is. In due course we will work out a costing for just the above
items, but it is estimated at £1 per appointment.

| Pens and pencils for Bosfontein School. Many thanks to Mr & Mrs White who have kicked off our next collection of pens and pencils for the kids at the school in SA. They gave us 200 units, which is a fantastic start. If anyone else wants to send any, we will organise sending them in November when Will & Carol visit the UK. In addition we have added to the fund, which will be spent on requested items nearer the time. Dental companies are currently doing paid surveys about toothpastes etc, and all money received by us is going into the 'pot'. To date we have £85. And even better now, Mr & Mrs White have given us more pencils, and Ian at Automotion has given a large box of coloured pencils to send. Fantastic! 22.09.2011 |

| New boiler. This week has been a bit noisier than usual, as the two old boilers were removed, and a new system was installed. It means we have a much more efficient heating and hot water system which will be warmer and cheaper to run. May 19th 2012 |

| New decontamination room Although the plans were drawn up a while ago, the requirements have changed, meaning they were already out of date, and had to be revised. Work has now started, but it will take some time to complete, as the total projected cost is about £15,000. A new ceiling is first, and we will work our way down. A number of patients have returned to the
practice from elsewhere recently, and this
means there is currently no space on his list.
All new, and returning patients will therefore
be offered appointments with Dr Veronika.

Electric toothbrush news
Any of our Plan Members who are interested in
purchasing an electric toothbrush may be keen on
a deal we can offer for an Oral B 3000 series kit.
We should be able to offer these at £25, which is
far cheaper than usual stockists, and a huge
reduction on the RRP of about £100
Initially this deal will be limited to Plan Members.
